Once, this Lebanese-Canadian financial planner who was known by his nickname "Sam", decided that he was going to try being known by his proper name of "Osama". So he printed lots of business cards with his proper name on. Then 9/11 happened and he threw them all in the bin. He was charming and lovely - we had to be careful to ask for him at reception as "Sam"!
